Last question answers

I would consider the Apple iPhone 7 the latest and greatest technology that I have recently purchased. I consider it the latest and the greatest because it is the newest phone out on the market.

I find the iPhone 7 appealing because I can use my favorite apps on this great technology phone.
I am hoping to get a wireless security system to replace my old wired system

I noticed the panic button and the keyless remote. I connected with them because I don't have them and I would like to have them.
The only thing I did not connect with or maybe misunderstood was the window sensors. I was confused if you want to open the window but still want the window to be wired for alarm do you have to install 2 window sensors. One for when the window is closed and one to match up to where you would want to open the window and yet still have it armed.
Simplisafe seems like a good fit for us because it is easy to use and a good value and no slick salesmans like other companies but maybe that has changed from long ago.
I like the simplisafe concept but would like the ability to have a company representative to come help me with anything I might not be able to figure out on my own.
Simple safe could make the water sensor for flooding a little lower to the ground instead of a plug because water reaching a plug height is too far up for my taste.
I would upload an image of a middle class suburban home and middle class people. They are interested like the other people in protecting their home and family but need a more cost effective solution. I relate to both I like the simplistic things but also like the different wiring options for Windows from my security system.
I wish that they would offer cameras for the outside of the house. Yes I could see them providing that in the future and I think it fits with simplisafe.

I thought it was a genius security system for a low cost.

This person ifbthey came to life would work as a fireman his hobbies would be watching sports and where they live would be a nice neighborhood in the suburbs.  He lives with his wife and children and animals. He would be casual and conservative and his behavior would be a la abiding citizen.
The picture I would upload is andy Griffith because he is a good neighbor and watches over the town.
He would hang out with kraft macaroni and cheese because their both good and easy to use.

When I purchased my home in 2001 I had my windows and doors prewired for a security system.  I did this because I wanted to feel secure in my home. After hearing of child abductions I had the windows wired too.
The builder influenced our decision and pre wiring for alarm system
We started with the home pre wiring while our home was being constructed
The initial products were the pre wiring and motion dectors thru the builder.
We added the security pads to our house thru alarm company
I have not made any changes sinc 2001
My security system is 16 years old and most of it except for the pads is from the builder and it is still going but I would like to invest in a new system because I think it is time
The letter grade I would give is a for lasting this long and d for probably being outdated
I have not investigated yet as to which security system I would like to purchase yet.

I don't have that much familiarity of security brands that are available except at&t,  Comcast and Keyth. I am aware of Keyth  because I see their lawn signs a lot
I don't really know what they are known for xcept I would never purchase anything from Comcast because I don't feel they are a very good value for cable and are always raising my rates. I would however be very interested in a security system from apple if they made one because they make such an outstanding product.

For at&t pic would be 50 year old with gray hair traditional and conservative
For Comcast pic would be a crook cuz they are a ripoff
For Keyth pic would be a mansion cuz the neighbors I know that have them don't care about costs

The best fit for my home would be Apple if they make a security system cuz they are the best product of all time
Keyth and Comcast would not be a good fit for me cuz Comcast is a rip off and Keyth probably to expensive and at&t to traditional

My home my castle part one

I will pick another smiley face for my image about how I feel about my home. I am really happy here and it is where I raised my kids in a home and a block like I grew up on. Wonderful neighbors and friends and living on a cul De sac  afforded my kids the same play I had as a kid. Playing ghost in the graveyard and street hockey in the street.  Home means to me family, sanctuary and comfort.
I will pick a picture of a comforter to represent that I feel comfortable and secure in my home because I have a security system and live in a pretty safe neighborhood.
I don't think too much often about the security of my home with the xception of getting a new security system because mine is getting old.
I feel the same security as I did at home today a I did a couple of years ago nothing has really changed to make me feel differently l

The outside forces that contribute to a sense of security is the quality of the neighbood and I have a security system that I use when I am not in the house.
The emotional feeling I feel is secure.  Although, we have a numerous amount of coyotes and skunks and I would like some kind of detection system to advise me they are around because I have small pets and this would make me feel emotionally happy.  I had a skunk greet at my front door when I went to bring my dogs outside!
My neighbors and community contribute to me feeling safe. He neighbors all watch out for each other ex: if you leave your garage door open and someone notices you will receive a phone call. The neighborhood is connected to an email system so we advise the group of stranger danger or speeding etc.
The only measures I have taken to keep my family secure is having a security system.
I do not have any non traditional home security tricks
My mental checklist when leaving my home I set the alarm and closing my garage door and the same when I go to bed.

In my humble opinion

i think my relationship with technology would be considered my best friend. I couldn't live without my phone or my iPad and I love how it makes my life easier. I asked my son what image he would choose for me that represents my relationship with technology and he said a person scratching their head. But I don't feel this way and my image will be my best friend for the reasons I stated above.

The 2 newer technologies I will refer to are my smart thermostat and my iPad.  I bought my thermostat because mine was broken and I wanted the latest and the greatest technology.  I purchased my iPad because I can take it anywhere and use it for many things. Both technologies are like my robot friend because they do everything I say and don't talk back.

I like the tech I have been exposed to with the exception of not everything being integrated with Apple and google.  I could not upload the pictures for this blog thru my iPad and had to go use my desktop to be able to do this.  Also, with earbuds that have voice they need to be used in the device it specifies either android or Apple it does not support both.  The other scary thing about tech is today's cars. They are so expensive to fix if the technical part goes out and I can say the same thing for appliances too.

I usually learn about new tech thru cnet, friends and my husband who loves all new technology.

2. I think online banking would be something that makes a task more approachable simp,e and easy to use. It takes away the cumbersome ness of writing a check, putting in envelope and using a stamp. It also saves valuable time of paying the bill each month and not having to worry about being late.
The second item I would pick are payable apps on your phone like Starbucks app. This technology allows me to show my phone and pay.  It saves me from rummaging in my purse trying to find my Starbucks card or credit card.  I am older so an approachable design and ease of use is very important to me and I think online banking and paying apps have been user friendly and not to hard for me being older.

Value in my words is a good or reasonable deal.  Value to me is a good price for example on prime meat.  I can go to costco and purchase prime sirloin for $7.99 a pound which is cheaper than regular choice sirloin at many grocery stores. Choice is a cheaper grade than prime.
A category that I would pay extra for are good theater seats. I find the value in good seating to be very important for the enjoyment of the play.  Sometimes there are value tkts thru a lottery and that's how we saw Hamilton. We got first row seats for $10 a piece when we won the Hamilton lottery.

I think value plays a role in technology if you don't purchase it right when it comes out.  I find the technology changes very quickly and is very pricey at first. I have found there are values in technology if you investigate.  My family was able to get free iPhone 7 by trading in their 6 iPhones and changing telephone vendors from at&t to Verizon. We also received unlimited data for our new plan which we did not have with at&t. The phone technology is changing very quickly and it is very
Expensive to purchase a new phone and this was a good value deal. So I was able to get the best with great value.

I will upload an image of a smiley face for do it yourself projects. Although, we are not very handy we try and do whatever we are able to do to save costs.
I think repairs, paint, washing windows, replacing the arms on our windows, installing blinds and locks on doors are what we would do ourselves.
All of the above are diy projects I feel comfortable with.
DIY project I would not feel comfortable with are heating, air conditioning and plumber issues as I don't feel experienced and would want to leave these jobs to the professionals.

My name is Kathy and I have a husband, two children and 2 dogs. I love animals and I currently walk dogs for exercise and enjoyment. I enjoy cooking for my family and will go to 5 stores to get the ingredients I need for my meal or meals. Sometimes I am a short order cook and will make what everyone wants instead of one meal.  My one child is a vegetarian so that makes it a little more difficult. I love to shop for deals and will search the Internet for hours before I make my purchase. I recently found a pair of shoes at VonMaur that were three years old and they didn't carry them anymore. I was able to locate them on the Bluefly website for only $23 and got the last pair which happened to be my size.  I also love going to plays, eating out and reading.

I think my job title would be coordinator. Getting everyone fed and organized and whatever their needs are.  I think my family would give me the same title too. I love my role and am very happy to be a wife and mom.

I would name Theo Epstein as my personal hero because he brought the Cubs to a World Series victory after 108 year drought. I would also have to say that Joe Madden played a big part in that success too. I enjoy watching sports and was very sad to see the Cubs losing all the time. Now if only someone can fix the Bears!

I would like to upload a smiley face re: how my life is right now and a smiley face for how my life will look in 5 to 10 years. I'm happy and would like to be happy in 5-10 years.
I currently feel happy and blessed to have such a great family and life and I hope the same continues in the next 5-10 years and as long as I live.
I would like to upload a beach scene for my dream life.  I would LOVE to live in a beach community and walk the beach everyday and enjoy my morning coffee by the water. Also, would be nice to win the lottery too.


I feel in control of my cooking and finding the best ingredients for all my meals. I feel like that because I have located special spice stores, fresh pasta markets, prime meat store, eataly for the best olive oil from italy etc.  Also, I determine what the outcome will be.
I feel vulnerable about not being able to guide my kids as I could when they were younger.
Nothing I can do about it because it is part of growing up.
